Data management

At the International ETD Conference held two weeks ago in Cape Town, some mention was made about data management and the role of librarians in this process. Some research funding bodies in the US (and elsewhere I assume) have now started to request a data management plan as part of a funding request proposal for intended research.

The following clip titled 'Riding the Data Wave: Research Libraries' Role and Response' speak to data management and how the processed is managed through librarians. Even the NRF is contemplating moving in this direction soon as part of the funding requests.

Virtual Library Tour

You can now take a virtual tour of Rhodes Main Library. The tour was created using Flash technology that allows you to virtually explore spaces. Users can move through different spaces of the tour by clicking the hotspots on the screen, or using the map to navigate different areas or floors. You can also navigate your way through the tour using the prompts on the screen.

Links are under Quick Links and under Our New Library (now a subsection of About Us).
