E-books still have a long way to go before librarians and their customers will be satisfied, reports Tom Wilkie from last month'sSpecial Libraries Association meeting
The e-book may be the future but it is not yet working, according to librarians and scholarly publishers speaking to the annual meeting of the Special Libraries Association in Chicago in late July.

Great post, which suggests we should take the ebook route at RUL even more cautiously and with our eyes wide open!
especially points like what happens when the publishers have down time for maintenance, PDA via xused sugguests purchase of e yet the physical item in on the shelf, no resale value for students, or students may have to repurchase a personal copy if they flunk a course.
